Mission

CFHTH’s Mission & Vision

Our mission has become to transform trauma into healing and hope.

Our vision is to eradicate Mental Illness in underserved communities. The Center for Healing the Hurt will provide services, to the children, their family and the community to lesson the impact of the adverse traumatic experiences on all that walk through our doors.

A Word

From Our Founder

” CFHTH has grown out of my passion for working with kids. Children are our youngest survivors of crime and trauma. Those children who live in poverty or who are in disparate populations must overcome more challenges than their peers. These children experience abuse, violence, and even death. The Center is here to help heal that hurt.”

– Dr. Shantel Thomas
